Wow what a mad couple of days the shoot went really well was a long day but totally worth being exhausted. Its already opening a couple of doors for me which is awesome I’m doing a baby/bump shoot (a friend of the director of the shoot came in to say hello and gave me her number there and then) .


AND this week I will be sorting the preparation for the marketing side of the business.
AND I GET PHOTOSHOP SOON!

Night before THE BIG DAY!

Night before the shoot, Ignore the little clock on these post there out of whack completely! Its really about 22:38pm the night before the shoot. The gift bags are done the schedules and references are printed off, the snacks and breakfast is already in the kitchen and my SLR battery is on charge I am ready to rock this bitch!

Oh and did I tell you the clocks go forward tonight I just pray to god everybody turns up and the correct time!

Deary me I spent so much more that I should of today and I don’t even have all the elements!
Just the little bottles of rose and the thank you cards but tomorrow I need to get the chocolates and the little bags for them to go in. I say I spent alot today but that’s mainly because I over sent on my mother for mother’s day, god she better like it all..don’t forget mother’s day boys and girls you only have one.

Exciting news, I posted on facebook that I was looking for a graphic designer to help me design what will become my logo and possibly my watermark for my business, and I’m so lucky I had so many willing helpers including people adding me who I have no idea who they are, but they were also offering their services. But anyways so yeah I sent out a brief of what I was looking for and hopefully they will get back to me very soon with their interpretation.

Out today at Staunton Country Park doing some wildlife photography( well as wild as you can get in a fenced off  park) which was fun, I forgot how much I enjoyed it I will have to make more an effort to do it more often. So 5 days til the shoots the schedule is all written up and everybody is ready to rock ‘n’ roll. I now have 2 friends helping me out with the logo and watermark, one of which is actually filming the day so thats all good. I have to go shopping tomorrow for the gift bags and possibly some of the props but as there fresh ingredients I may hold it off until the day before the shoot but we’ll see..

After months of preparation and only 4 short weeks ago the date being set, my brain baby is coming to life.

I was talking to a friend last night about how he spend 5 years after college working in blockbuster and then decided to go to university. I can only imagine how hard that must of been, doing the same no-brainer thing day in, day out and then go straight back into the mind fuck which is university. I think it takes great courage to do something like that, but it saddens me think that it took him 5 years to realise what he should of done so to begin with. I’m just glad I found my vocation in life now and I know no matter how hard times will get, no matter how I might loath the fact I’m a freelance, no matter how I might crave a regular income I know this is what I’m meant to be doing in life.
